The Bridge Direct/Basic Fun! began producing retro reproduction G1 ponies in 2016, and some characters can still be found on shelves.

Basic Fun! filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2024, so the future of the My Little Pony Classic line remains uncertain.
